Hello! I’m Athishaya Jain.

Most people call me AJ, the AJ in ajlabs. Fifteen years shipping software mostly in the code. I started as a UX designer before crossing into engineering, and it still shows: I won't ship something that works but feels broken.

Some quick facts:

• -Squad lead at Constantinople, a Sydney fintech whose platform runs entire banks where I lead a squad of three, small enough that I still write code every day.
• -Previously: built Woolworths' Refresh: Food marketplace app from first commit; led a team of six at Skillsoft as Technical Manager, then deliberately moved back closer to the code.
• -Day to day: TypeScript, React, React Native, Next.js, Node.js, NestJS, Postgres, AWS
• -AI is part of my daily workflow: I build with Claude and Cursor, automate reviews and repetitive engineering work with AI, and ship AI products - FlickPick and TailorBird are what that looks like end to end.
